Why 15 minutes of speaking beats an hour of listening

Short, bounded conversation forces you to retrieve language under time pressure. That is the skill Talkinu is built around.

Listening helps you notice English. Speaking is what makes it yours.

A 15-minute session is short on purpose. You cannot hide in a long class, wait for the confident student, or spend twenty minutes on a warm-up. You have to retrieve words, repair mistakes, and keep the conversation moving.

That pressure is useful. Retrieval is harder than recognition, and it is also how spoken fluency actually grows. A bounded session also gives the teacher a complete unit to review: one conversation, one arc, one set of notes.

If you only have energy for one study habit this week, make it a real conversation with a human teacher. Then use any AI notes afterwards — not instead.
